UA – Apprenticeship in Fire Suppression and Sprinkler Fitting – The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States, Canada (UA), affiliated with the national building trades, represents approximately 340,000 plumbers, pipefitters, sprinkler fitters, service technicians and welders in local unions across North America.  Our members install, repair, maintain, inspect, and service all types of fire suppression systems in commercial, residential, and industrial sites. We provide the premier training programs available in the industry today, including five-year apprenticeship programs, extensive journeyman training, a comprehensive, five-year instructor training program, and numerous certification programs.

ACADEMIC DEGREES IN FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEERING

Society of Fire Protection Engineers – The purpose of SFPE is to advance the science and practice of fire protection engineering and its allied fields, to maintain a high ethical standard among its members and to foster fire protection engineering education.  SFPE supports the development of the annual Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensing exam in fire protection.  Website has links to career paths and scholarship opportunities.
