Wildlife Wrangler for Film Industry Career

If your job is in the capacity of a Wildlife Wrangler, your career requires you to do a variety of things from studying and saving wildlife creatures to performing in front of live audiences. For example, a snake wrangler ensures that snakes or other hazardous reptiles don’t interfere with filming.  A Wildlife Wrangler for Film Industry works to acclimate wildlife creatures to human voice and contact.  In some instances, train animals to respond to command.

 

Wildlife Wrangler Duties:

  • Determining the kind of remediation required to resolve a particular type of wildlife conflict.
  • Advising clients on the kind of treatment required to remediate a wildlife conflict.
  • Inspecting environments to identify wildlife conflicts or problems.
  • Filling out all necessary paperwork upon completion of each job.
  • Inspect buildings and other premises for signs of wildlife intrusion.
  • Use bait and set traps to effectively remove, control, or eliminate wildlife conflicts.

 

Wildlife Wrangler for Film Industry Duties:

  • Work to acclimate wildlife creatures to human voice and contact.
  • Work to acclimate wildlife creatures to human voice and contact.
  • Safely transport and relocate wildlife animals.
  • See to comfort and care of wildlife animals.
  • Ensure stability and caution in the integration of wildlife animals during use.

Education

If you have the career ambition to be a Wildlife Wrangler, you will need at minimum a high school diploma or GED.  You will be expected to display excellent problem-solving technique and effective communication skills.  Individuals pursuing this career path may choose an associate degree program to enter the field.  A bachelor’s degree may open advancement in the field relative to self-employment or area specialization.
